Last night hubby's foot was still hurting after two weeks. We looked up a bunch of stuff online about fractures and sprains. He decided to go to urgent care this morning because the pain hadn't gone away after stretching and massaging with arnica these past weeks. The Dr. took an x-ray and found some calcium deposits at the joint of navicular bone. He spoke of possible athletic injuries from hubby's race training and strain during the 4th of July 4K. Then the Dr. mentioned that hubby might have pseudo-gout. This is the start of having full blown gout, but to tell you the truth, he really is not a typical male to have been exposed to the gout. Ok, he does drink beer and his own home-brew and we do eat meat, but that's not our primary source of meals. As you can see from last night's dinner (and tonight's dinner I am about to explain) that we don't eat a ton of meat, but we do tend to eat more pork products. Anywho, it's not too big of deal. He has to watch his protein / beer (yeast) /seafood intake this week and then get checked again next Thursday. He is also supposed to take IB Prufen (spell?) for the swelling. Right now his is icing it and he looks so cute and sad. I poured him a glass of red wine (for the anti-oxidents) and he's drinking it with a straw and is having a few rice cakes. We'll see, I mean really, we have eaten more veggies this month than meat so I highly doubt it is the gout. If the symptoms are relieved by this diet for the next week, the Dr. said it would be pseudo gout, if they aren't it's an athletic stress induced calcium deposit that might need surgery if it gets worse.
In regards to tonights dinner, hubby got a little scared and decided we would have all veggies again. We had non-local artichokes, local cucumber tomato salad with italian seasoning and olive oil, and local creamed corn. Ok I am never making creamed corn again, it doesn't taste anything like the stuff out of the can (which I love and I know that's weird). I boiled the corn, shaved it off and then processed it in the food processor. One word : Weird.
Well, I am saying good night. To all a lovely Friday, I will be posting pictures of the garden in the next day or town. We got to munch on a few tomatoes! I also have two new plants to introduce that have been welcomed into the garden.

Your meal sounds lovely! Did you mean it for OLS week 7 or week 8 (the current week that started on Sunday). You did have an earlier entry for week 7.
BTW, ibuprofen = Advil/Motrin, etc.
